Flower Power

It was over 30 degrees today and in my room was at least 40 (probably still is but I have the fan pretty much on top of me!)....and this is only Spring! Woooo hooooo! HOT at last!
There's not much news to report that I can think of. I spent most of tonight drawing cartoons - either creativity was flowing rapidly or I was hallucinating from the heat, because I did quite a pile of them.

The photos were taken at the Brinkman's farm which has an abundance of beautiful blossoming trees (that are probably blossoming no more after the temperatures today)!

Operation Squirrel

I saw the coolest thing out my window this morning (definite advantages to being three stories high!) - a mother squirrel (who you can see in the photo above, not very clearly unfortunately) carrying her babies from one tree to another. She'd come out of a hole in one, way up high, with a little squirrel held in her mouth, climb down the tree, across the lawn, up another tree and deposit the baby in there. She repeated this with all five of her babies, it was SOOOOOO cute! Would love to have got it on video but it was too dark inside and it would have scared her away if I went outside. Anyway, definitley an unforgettable sight. The joys of Spring! :-)
