Another year older

I'm another year older. Hopefully wiser! :-) Quarter of a century, yikes! My birthday was kind of spread over two weeks because Sara, John and Evelyn celebrated it two weeks early before Sara went to Stratford, my actual birthday was filled with phones calls, emails and text messages (kind of a "long distance" celebration!) and then the day after the Graingers celebrated it with cake at home and then we went out for dinner later. All very nice and lots of fun - thanks everyone!

Here's Jasmine, Matthew and I at The Oasis (a funky/artsy restaurant in Cobourg)...
Here's Stuart and Monica...

And Spencer who was falling asleep at the beginning of the party!

Key lime Pie Birthday Cake -- mmmm!
It continues to be really cold here, it's relentless! In the newspaper this morning it was forecast to be -1C today but when we checked the local temperature on the T.V. it was actually -20C!! Now that's bad forecasting - 19C out! I hope all of you in NZ are enjoying summer for me!
My BCNZ courses have started but I still haven't received my course materials so am still on holiday as far as study goes...I am reading my text book though so will hopefully get a headstart on that. It's called "The Story of Christianity - The Early Church to the Present Day" by Justo Gonzalez. I'm enjoying it so far, he has quite an engaging style and isn't as dry as some other historians I've read.
There is not much else to report...oh, I've added some more photos to my Picasa albums so check them out if you'd like to.
Ciao for now. :)
