At last...

I got rather slack in keeping this up in the last few weeks I was in New Zealand and now I've been back in Canada for two weeks...oops! I really enjoyed my time at home (my "other home?") and it was sad to say goodbyes. Now I'm back here I feel settled again. There are so many ways of communicating from overseas now, which makes living so far away easier.

Here's my whole family, left to right: Emma, Mum, Liz, Grace, Sam, Katherine, Sophie, Dad, Tommy and I. It's very rare that we're all together for a picture so it's quite the occasion! :)

These are Dad and Tommy's fiat (I accidently wrote "fat" ha ha) Bambina cars which they're working on restoring. They are so cool!

This is my friend Melody and her little girl, Asha.

For two days before I left for Canada I stayed with my friend Claire in Snell's Beach (about 1.5 hours from Auckland). She was flying to Nelson the day I left so we spent a day in Auckland before going to the airport. Here we are with our friend Mike who is the ambassador at Sky City (I want a suit like that!).

It's all coming back to me now - this was the last picture taken before my nightmare trip back to Canada which included an entire night spent on the floor in Chicago airport because of a cancelled flight. I had a migraine and had to keep running to the bathroom to throw up, there were no shops open to get painkillers, and then my watch fell down the toilet! I thought nothing more could go wrong apart from a plane crashing then I arrive in Toronto finally to fnd out my luggage is missing! They found and delivered it (chocolate and all, thank goodness for that!) the next day, thankfully. All's well that ends well, it feels like I've been back for months now I'm back into routine. :) It's nice catching the tail end of Summer here although it will start cooling off soon.
